Just in time for Mother's Day, Amy Wilson's "Mother Load" arrives at Carolina Theatre of Durham May 14. This one-woman show mixes "motherhood, comedy and true confession." My favorite GNO (so far) was with my two daughters (then 8 and 5 years old) last year when we attended La Sylphide.  Other than the Nutcracker, this was the first ballet for the three of us.  Later, we found a milkshake (can't remember where, but I'll bet it was chocolate).

My daughter and I will take off occasionally to have a quick lunch or dinner by ourselves. She loves the fact that Daddy doesn't get invited. As she is only 6 years old, it makes for wonderful memories, because I know in a few years she'll be more worried about her friends than dinner with mom.

My favorite GNO was when my bible study girls and I decided to do a GNO and then couldn't figure out what to do after dinner.  We drove around awhile and then just rented a video and went to one of the girl's house.

GNO rocks! But in our house for the past few years, GNO means my daughter and I going out to dinner and a movie or something. She is 14 so I am taking advantage of all the GNO's I can get with her!  A girls night out with my friends is important - and those nights always include lots and lots of laughter! We can go anywhere, do anything, for any occasion and it's always fun! Thanks to Triangle Tracks for all the great contest!

the Best Girl's night out I ever planned is getting my girlfriend to plan it for us.  But seriously, I usually like just sitting outside somewhere and having dessert or ice cream with a friend and talking.  The best part is not having to share that dessert with hubby or the kidlets.

I love a girl's night out, unfortunately, they don't come around too often.  We are all so busy.  But my favorite girl's night out is sneaking off with a friend to catch a movie and food that does not require a kids' menu!  Throw in a few laughs and you can just about forget about the crazy weeks filled with homework and making lunches!

Thanks Melissa! Can you send me your last name so I can enter you in the contest?

I love going on GNO with friends and just having dinner and having a drink and talking and laughing all night.
